This low-mile (95k), clean-titled 1998 Jaguar XJ8 was the pinnacle of British luxury motoring during the dotcom boom and at only $2000, might just let you live like the aristocrat you’ve always wanted to be.
Now, with all cars in this price range (and especially British ones), setting realistic expectations is the name of the game. Is it going to break? Probably. Might you find yourself stranded on the side of the road conversing with a tow truck driver? I wouldn’t bet against it. But when it is working, the Jaguar XJ8 is cool as hell. And this one even has a sunroof!
The seller appears to be a man (or woman) of few words, describing the vehicle as simply “smoothest ride”. They’re not wrong, but I usually like a little more fat on my Craigslist car descriptions. But, given that pictures are sometimes worth a thousand words, here’s a couple of the interior.
Both inside and outside appear to be in decent shape, but what lurks beneath is of course anyone’s guess. Given its priced in the same league as a used dirt bike, it might just be worth the gamble.
